Veterinarian & Animal Hospital in Algonquin, Il

In 1988, our Algonquin vet clinic location started out in Fox Valley as Lake in the Hills Animal Hospital. In 1996 the hospital relocated to Algonquin IL., becoming the Dundee Animal Hospital family’s third addition. All three animal hospitals are privately owned and operated by six outstanding veterinarians.

We’re proud to offer Dundee Township residents premier veterinary care and pet medical services close to home. Furthermore, our pet hospital is AAHA-accredited to maintain its reputation for excellence. Our veterinarians and vet staff are always working to exceed the highest standards and learn safer, more advanced treatment techniques. In addition, we dedicate ourselves to educating pet owners to help them give their pets happy, healthy lives.

We look forward to building new, long-term partnerships with local pet families. Most of all, our Algonquin practice aims to always do what’s best for our patients and clients–and nothing less. Real Stories from Real Owners

I’m grateful for the team at Dundee Animal Hospital Elgin, and Dundee. I never thought to use them for standard veterinary services due to using Dundee a handful of times for after hours euthanasia services and the sadness it brought being at the clinic, but after taking my young dog to a “specialty clinic” and was given a 7k + estimate, for extreme services. I called around the same night and Elgin got me in same day, Dr. Larson took a less invasive approach and was able to send part of my dogs abnormal growth away for testing without removing an entire digit like the specialty wanted too. They were all very kind and treated Millie with love and were not afraid to handle her. They made eye contact with me and were transparent about the process. When I had a question about my dog’s medication dosage on Saturday, I called Dundee after hours and while it was not a true emergency the tech was kind and provided me the information I needed. Thank you for saving me THOUSANDS and for saving Millie’s foot.
It is always a pleasant time at Dundee Animal Hospital. We brought our cat Lenny in to get neutered and we also had them check for polyps and they found two big polyps that they were able to remove and everyone was just as excited as we were. Lenny has been having respiratory issues for a while, so we were ecstatic to hear this amazing news!

The staff is also so knowledgeable and always answers our questions if we have concerns. They followed up to ensure Lenny was doing well this morning and answered some concerns that I had and made me feel so much better.

Thank you for being such a great animal hospital!
All of the Dundee animal hospital locations are well kept, clean, and full of professions that are great with pets! I’ve been coming here for years.
The staff, technician, and Dr Christensen were wonderful. Very attentive, listened well, very thorough, and friendly. My dog was very comfortable with the doctor and with the facility
