Saying goodbye to your pet is one of the hardest things you will ever have to do. Many clients request in-home euthanasia because it allows their pets to spend their final moments in a peaceful, familiar environment. Your pet always deserves to feel comfortable and relaxed, especially during this time. If you have concerns about your pet’s condition and suspect that euthanasia might be the next step, simply reach out to us and we’ll do everything we can to help.

Preparing For a House Call

Once we have helped you set a date for your mobile vet appointment, be sure to plan accordingly. Avoid overlapping schedules and prepare a clean, well-lit space in your house on the day of our visit. We will call you when we are on our way to your home.

We take our guinea pigs here. Dr. Lupo and his staff are just so amazing! We have rescued a lot of guinea pigs, and unfortunately with the nature of some of the cases, eventually some health issues arise. The entire staff is so caring, it is clear that they love what they do! We highly recommend Dundee Animal Hospital of Elgin! They are just as wonderful with other pets too!

I've tried a few great vets in the area over the past few decades. I choose Dundee Animal Hospital because the vets are incredibly talented and experienced. Having an emergency clinic in Dundee as part of their practice group has given me peace of mind that's been irreplaceable when we've needed it- with a team that already has our medical records and history and knows our animals. I brought my soul dog in for an emergency visit on a Friday night and the day I've dreaded for 12 years finally came. Kerry the emergency tech and Dr. Gurevich were so incredibly kind and empathetic to me and my girl. They gave me time and sweet, wise words and sent a beautiful card in the mail the following week. The front desk staff was also wonderful to me. I wish the circumstances were different but I very much appreciate how the staff took care every step of the way.
