Mark A. Thompson, DVM

Dr. Thompson joined the Dundee Animal Hospital team in 1979 following completion of his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Illinois. Growing up in rural Illinois, Dr. Thompson raised a number of farm and companion animals, where he learned of his passion for animal health sciences. Today, Dr. Thompson enjoys the area of canine and feline general medicine. In his nonworking time, Dr. Thompson enjoys motorcycling, bicycling, travel and gardening. He shares his home with Joan and has two children and one grandson. In addition, Nellie, an Australian Shepherd mix resides at the Thompson home and is fondly called "the smartest dog ever".
