Dr. Lathrop was born in Northern California and in 1993 she completed her undergraduate degree in Animal Science and Biochemistry at California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo. Dr. Lathrop continued her education at Lincoln University in Canterbury, New Zealand, and completed her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Illinois. Doctor Lathrop’s special interests are surgery and emergency medicine along with many sport activities including bicycle racing and kayaking. Dr. Lathrop is also involved with the WorldVets, a non-profit organization that provides veterinary aid to developing countries and veterinary disaster relief worldwide. Dr. Lathrop shares her home with her dog Stanley and her cat Claire.
