Dundee Animal Hospital was established in Dundee, Illinois, in 1958 by Dr. David McConnell. In 1980, a second facility was purchased in Elgin to meet the needs of a growing community. In 1994, the Elgin facility was replaced with a new building.
Continued growth in the Fox Valley area led to the opening of our Lake in the Hills office in 1988 and in 1996, that location was moved to a new hospital building in Algonquin.
The Dundee location hospital underwent a major expansion and remodel in the spring of 1999. This 15,000 square foot hospital is home to the Dundee general practice and emergency center for the surrounding community.
Dundee Animal Hospital is privately owned by six Veterinarians that all practice veterinary medicine in one of our three locations. Our organizational structure allows us to develop programs and medical protocols that are designed to meet our patient and client needs. Our practice philosophy is based on a simple premise: do what is best for the patient and client.
Below is a summary of the Dundee Animal Hospital and our historic timeline. We are proud to have served the community for over 50 years. We love what we do and thank you for your continued support.
